This workshop is devoted to academic research in mathematics and economics in the field of mean field game, applied to heterogeneous agents models. Heterogeneous agents models allow to take into account the observed differences between consumers, workers and firms. For instance, they allow to propose a theory of wealth inequalities and thus to explain their evolution. In particular, these models allow to take into account the difference in qualificatoin between agents as well as aging. The potential research field is very wide. Nevertheless, heterogeneous agents models reveal important technical challenges. The resolution of these models is time consuming. Mean field game theory has made it possible to develop efficient tools for solving models with heterogeneous agents. The interactions between economists and mathematicians are crucial to achieve significant progress in this research field.
